Visitors with disabilities who click on SMC.Health can now use Artificial Intelligence-Powered Accessibility to experience all the information, news, and photos on the site.
“We want everyone who visits our website to be able to find the information they need,” said CEO Dr. Tammy Torres. “This program will allow all of our visitors to browse the information easily.”
Once you arrive at the website, the UserWay Menu — a blue icon depicting a stick figure — can be easily found in the lower left corner of the website in several ways including:
Click the icon to gain access to the menu which allows users to manipulate the appearance of the website.
- Increase the contrast
- Highlight hyperlinks
- Make the text larger
- Increase spacing in text
- Pause animation
- Enlarge the cursor
- Increase the line height
- Make the text dyslexia friendly
The contrast link can change the look of the page by inverting colors, or changing to light or dark contrast, or black and white.
Using the Bigger Text link, fonts can be increased by four times, and line height can space lines two times more than normal.
The Dyslexia Friendly button changes the normal font to two different, more readable fonts for those who live with dyslexia.
