Brenda Goins is a life-long resident of Salem County, growing up in Quinton Township and graduating from Salem High School. Ms. Goins is the Executive Director of the Salem Health and Wellness Foundation, joining when they opened their doors in August 2003. She has guided the Board of Trustees through its first strategic planning process which led to the implementation of the Healthy Kids, Bright Futures initiative, focused on programs that stress healthy living for children and youth in Salem County. She oversees the distribution of $1.5 million dollars each year in the support of health and wellness programs across the county and capacity building for the nonprofits who provide critical services to the county’s residents. The Foundation is the only private grantmaker in the region providing these important funds focused on health and wellness.
Her insight and foresight have grown the Foundation in its ability to support a myriad of funding opportunities. Ms. Goins serves on several boards such as the Southern New Jersey Perinatal Cooperative, Salem County Board of Social Services and Salem County Inter Agency Council of Human Services. She’s active in local and regional coalitions bringing her expertise about Salem County to the table. She attended Union College in Kentucky studying Business Administration.
