To: Tammy Torres:
My name is Kim Patchell and I just wanted to take a moment to let you know what my recent surgery experience was like.
I had surgery on my wrist at the Surgery Center a few weeks ago. I have not had any type of surgery or hospital stay in over 40 years so, needless to say, I was a little nervous. From the moment I walked in the door, I was met with the most professional and accommodating staff, I felt the butterflies go away. While I was in the prep room, everyone was so nice. They were only concerned about my well being, asking me if I was feeling OK, did I need anything, was I warm enough, etc.
And every staff member that passed by me introduced themselves whether they had anything to do with my case or not. From the phone call the day before from Edith, giving me instructions and answering questions, to Nick, the anesthesiologist, who was super nice and very reassuring, to the nurses that were there at my bedside when I awoke, it was all just a positive experience. Dr. Timmerman and his staff, both at his office and in the Surgery Center, are approachable, accommodating and professional without being cold.
As a business owner, (Java Dog Coffee and Tea), I know how people love to complain and whine when they are not happy but rarely does anyone take the time to praise or compliment a business or service. I just wanted you to know that your staff’s hard work and dedication are not going unnoticed.
Thank you!
Kim Patchell,
Java Dog Coffee and Tea
P.S. — As an aside, whoever came up with the warm blanket over the patient to keep them warm and comforted was a genius!
