As of March 29, the following groups are eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine:
- Anyone 65 and older
- Anyone 16 and older with medical conditions that increase the risk of severe illness from the virus
- Childcare workers in licensed and registered settings
- Educators and staff pre-K to 12
- First responders including sworn law enforcement and fire professionals
- Healthcare workers, paid and unpaid
- High-risk individuals
- Long-term care and high-risk congregate care facility residents and staff
- Public and local transportation workers
- Public safety officers not sworn law or fire professionals including probation officers
- Migrant farm workers
- Members of tribal communities
- Homeless or those living in shelters including domestic violence shelters
- Food production, agriculture, and food distribution
- Eldercare and support
- Warehousing and logistics
- Social services support staff
- Elections personnel
- Hospitality
- Medical supply chain
- Postal and shipping services
- Clergy
- Judicial system
Beginning April 5, the following New Jersey residents are eligible for the COVID-19 vaccination:
- Anyone 55 and older
- Anyone 16 and older with intellectual and developmental disabilities
- Higher education educators and staff
- Librarians and library staff
- Communications, IT and Press
- Real Estate, building, and home service workers
- Retail financial institution workers
- Sanitation workers
- Laundry service workers
- Utility workers
